...need not fear water. Just what does that mean? You tell me. Does it mean we are each set and locked in his or her course from the day we are born? That there is no escape? Does it mean even the worst of us should wash every day? I do...usually. Could it mean we should face up to life without fear, because we will all die in the end anyhow? All of these? None of these? Do we care? Do I care? Do you care? Do I care if you care? Do you care if I care if you care? Do...nevermind, I'm sure you can see where this is going. Do I care if you can see where this is going? No, I don't. And neither should you. You should only be concerned with yourself and those people you make a part of yourself. The opinions of strangers and philosophers should be as mere nothings to you. The ideals of those who are not an active part of your life should not carry a whit of weight. Media people. Movement people. Self important people. Popular strangers. Meddling outsiders. Them and those who do not know you personally and therefore can make not one valid judgement about you. Like me for example. I'm just another lemming Katz and Kitties, with no better grasp of what is or isn't than you. Maybe even less. (of course I don't believe THAT!) So where do I get off telling you what to think or do? I guess I get off right here. After all, we're here and this is where we are. And speaking of here, I've been tagged. I've been tagged here, and i guess it isn't going to go away. I don't want to be tagged. Do you? Do you, because that's the way I plan to work this...but we'll come back to that. For now there are the formalities to deal with:
1. Write the rules. These are the rules. 2. Answer 13 questions and ask 13 questions. But that's after you write the rules. 3. Tag 13 unfortunates and make sure they know they have been tagged. We'll get to that. 4. Can't say you're tagged if you're reading this. I don't say so. We'll get to that. 5. It is forbidden not to tag. Oh yeah? We'll get to that. 6. No tagging back. I wouldn't dream of it. Right. About this tagging thing, and anyone who knows me will have gathered that the word "Forbidden" is going to gravel my ass something fierce. I believe in free will. We have the power and the right to choose. I may not have had choice in being tagged, but I can use choice in tagging: I choose to make the choice yours. You must volunteer. Want to be tagged? You got it. Don't want to be tagged, got that too. Just let me know. No more than 13 of you though. As if I could enforce that. So OK, there it is. On with the show. Answer the 13 questions...
1. Guns or swords? Swords, every time. 2. Cake or Death? Cake, death will get around to me on its own. 3. PC or console? Whichever is cheaper. 4. Kind and Weak, or Strong and Rude? I would like to go with kind and weak but in this world, strong and rude. 5. Flowers or Trees? Trees. 6. Shower or Bath? Shower. 7. Favorite Flavor? Scotch, if I were still drinking. Scotch, even though I'm not. 8. Favorite Art Medium? Assuming Film counts, Film. 9. What Song is your anthem? The Werewolf (Banjo Dan and The Midnite Plowboys). 10. What's your dream car? I haven't one, I do not drive nor have I ever. 11. What color are your eyes? Usually brown but green when I'm angry. I guess that's "Hazel". 12. Describe your personality in 2 words. Old Hat. 13. Night or Day? Night, to be sure. Night.
Ask 13: 1. Is Fun Evil? 2. Cats or dogs? 3. Left or right? 4. Black and White or Color? 5. Vocals or Instrumentals? 6. Movie or Stage? 7. Sweet or Sour? 8. Beatnick or Hippie? 9. Addams Family or Munsters? 10. John Williams or Ennio Morricone? 11. Fight or Flight? 12. Now or Then? 13. Take, or Give?
So there it is. If I offend, it was not my intent. If I did not offend, that wasn't either. And so, there I am, gone.

It's not your word...
...it's who you give it to that counts. Yes, a movie quote. The Wild Bunch. See for yourself. But..."It's not your word, it's who you give it to that counts.". Really? Does this suggest that sometimes a lie is justified? Does this mean the truth is flexible, only to be told when we choose? Does that work for the other guy too? Can we all lie to one another at once...oh, never mind, we all do already. Well, maybe not you. Me, for sure. I don't want anyone to really know what I'm doing, they might try and stop me from doing it. Just kidding, that's a lie. I, myself, always tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth
Evil...
...is. That's what Kirk Douglas' character assures the assembled guests in The List Of Adrian Messenger. "Evil is." And his character should know, as he is evil. He's not saying things are bad, although they are, and he's not saying people are bad, although they are, he's saying some people are just no damn good, at all, period, take it to the bank. Bad isn't the point. Bad is not evil, and all evil isn't bad. Bad is just a state of things. That fish you ate might have been bad, but it wasn't evil. The weather can be bad, and it's not evil. Some books are bad, some films can be bad, lots of music is really really bad, luck can be ve
The light at the end of the tunnel...
...is a train. What else would it be? You might say daylight. You might not. I don't. And if you're in the tunnel, where you have no business being, then you deserve what you get. A train. It's not your fault, being in the tunnel? Oh yes, it is. You had no choice? Yes, you did. There is always a choice. Not always a pleasant choice, but a choice none the less. (Read the last entry: no choice is a choice.) You were led into the tunnel by someone else? Someone you trusted? Well, there you have it. You chose to follow. Or worse, you followed the other followers. There's safety in numbers. I don't know who came up with that on
No need for additional dancing...
...when jig is up. And the last jig is up: six days and no one has made the choice to be tagged. Either folks don't want to be tagged if they can avoid it, or, my thirteen questions sucked. Or both those things. I know which one I'm voting for. But the why makes no nevermind, now, does it? The point is that you all (all you) have made a choice, and I'll bet it was easy. I'll bet it wasn't even an active choice, that it took no effort at all, that there was no thought involved. Not one gray (or is that Grey, I'm never sure) cell even twitched or quivered. A choice made for you by inaction on your part. A choice of omission. To have

I tried to tag you in one of these once but it didn't work for some reason
